Johnson Controls Airpro Brand
Fall 2011
In 2011 Johnson Controls approached the Savannah College of Art and Design to investigate and find a better way of selling their HVAC (air conditioning systems) to their retailer and create a new way that both contractors and users experience their brand.
This project evolved into a full study of the HVAC service network. Through intense research a group of Industrial, service and graphic designers discovered and identified key insights never understood in depth before about this world.
Together they created a new brand, Airpro. This Company is based around the retailer and contractor experience to simplify their work and help them interact in a more productive and informative way with their end user. It also helps Johnson controls set up a back end CRM system where they can track and identify inventory, as well as reward key players and ensure end users satisfaction with their product in their home.

Harvest Wind Solar Unit
Winter 2012
The Harvest system is a new way of approaching wind and solar energy. Most wind and solar systems are located in remote areas and very large as these produce energy in greater volume. However this means that much of the power is lost to the energy grid. Small scale systems have been tried in the past however they are often ugly and tend to be freestanding, making them complicated and not wanted in the community.
All communities need telephone and electric poles, and therefore they already exist and have been accepted. By making low cost wind solar units that tie into the DC power grid and attach to these poles, we can create an easy way to augment them on a local level with sustainable energies.
